TOKYO- A man found alive on Saturday (03/19/2011) this morning under the ruins of her home, eight days after the tsunami hit the building, which makes him utterly impossible to escape.
All hope to find a victim who survived the original has vanished due to the length of time elapsed and the freezing temperatures. Troops from the civil defense department was amazed to find the young man, who in a state of severe shock and was unable to speak, in the ruins of a house in the city of Miyagi Prefecture Kesennuma badly damaged.
He did not appear seriously injured. However, what he was experiencing has resulted in severe shock, officials said. The man, whose name was not yet known, could not tell rescue workers what happened and what happened during those eight days.
"It's amazing that we can find a victim who survived after passing through during this time," said a civil defense officer.
There may be several other victims who survive can be found. "We try best to come to buildings that are hard to reach and after the discovery gives hope that today maybe we can find some other victims who still survive," he said.
Japanese television showed the man aged around 20's, removed by stretcher from the ruins of her home. He was taken to the hospital to recover from shock, hypothermia, hunger, and fatigue.
